Live and Death..

Flowers blossom
Flowers wilt
Trees grow
Trees die
Leaves sprout
Leaves fall...
Grass is green
Grass dies
Birds sing
Birds die.

Inspirational Place..

A section of Mt. Crowder
An inspirational place for me was a top Mt. Crowder's in Gastonia, North Carolina. Gastonia is about a 45 minute drive from Charlotte, NC. I went down to Charlotte, where my aunt lives sophomore year. I flew down by myself and that a great experience in itself, but I will get to that story another time. I was there for about a week and my aunt had a couple of things planned for us. One of them was climbing a pretty close to her house. Around noon we set off for Mt. Crowder. When we got there it was very woodsy, there was a pavilion to sit under and a bath house to go to the bathroom in. To the left of that was a map for the mountain and the trail to hike up it. I couldn't see the top of the mountain from where we stood from all of the tree cover. When I first looked at it I though "oh this isn't going to be to bad, we got this". We packed some trail mix and water, later we would find out we didn't pack enough water. We started our ascent up the mountain, there was a nice path up probably because a lot of people go up there. It was pretty steep on the way up and I was beginning to get a little tired so we stopped and had a snack. We continued on. When we got to the top of the mountain there were so many people. I was wearing this shirt that said "Navy Seals", I am not a Navy Seal I was just wearing the shirt. This older gentleman said to his buddy "this guy is a Navy Seal he can run up the mountain no problem!!" I laughed and told them I was not a Navy Seal, I was just wearing the shirt. They chuckled.
View of Charlotte from Mt. Crowder
My aunt Kathy and I found a quiet spot and enjoyed the view. It was so nice on the top of that mountain. We took a view pictures, ate some snacks, and re hydrated after the walk. It was such a beautiful day and such a beautiful view. We began our descent and it went by pretty quick because we were headed downward. When we got to the bottom we headed back to Charlotte. What a fun day!

Emotional Times

An emotional time for me was when I rolled my 1979 K5 Blazer. Seeing my baby all messed broke my heart. I put so much work into that ol' girl... I had to part it out and bring er to the scrap yard. I kept putting off bringing thee ol blaze to the scrape yard because I didn't want to see it go. Although I destroyed my vehicle I made my money back on it and then some by parting it out, but it still made me really sad. I still think about that blazer every day. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her. The sucky thing is I sold my dirt bike so I could have enough money to buy it. I traded my dirt bike for a car which I sold to get money to get the blazer. It makes me sad that my dirt bike is gone. I loved that thing too. I ripped on my dirt bike almost every day in any weather. In a way I am glad I had to go through all of that non-sense. In the future I will be able to tell my kids to make a smart decision when buying a car. I will tell them what I did. I won't tell them not to do what I did and buy a blazer I will just warn them that its probably not the best choice to get a blazer at a young age. A good choice is to buy a car that is save and decent on gas, and something I can fix for cheap. I appreciate my dad not telling me what to do with my money and cars, because it made me learn on my own and I like that. When he was younger he had a 79 and he rolled his as well. So I thought that was pretty weird. Some day I will get another blazer and she will be in great shape. I will bring her up to silver lake so she can breath.

Getting her ready for when I turn 16.

It Was A Good Day

I have a lot of good days in my life.
One that really sticks out to me is in the summer. My day starts with me waking up at 6 a.m. on a weekday for work. I drive out to my uncles, have to get there by 7 a.m.. Once I get there I load up all of the lawn mowers on a trailer, get all of the bags for the mowers, make sure we don't need to stop for gas, and put all my stuff on the truck.

After awhile of me scurrying around outside my sleep-eyed cousins mosey on out of the house and ask me if I need help with anything but I already got it handled all they need to do is hop in the truck. Before we leave every day I check with my uncle if there is anything special I have worry about through out the day. After our talk, we roll out for the day. I love driving truck and trailer, its very fun, and actually takes some skill rather than just driving a car.

After a long day of mowing or landscaping, I head back to my moms, take a shower, and call my awesome girl friend and tell her to come over. We load up the car with kayaks and go to Muskegon Lake for a nice paddle through Muskegon Lake. We hangout in the water for a bit and enjoy the movement of the waves. We paddle over to the dunes on the north Muskegon side to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
